An Artistique Adventure in Provence
An active tour program of cultural discovery in Frederic Mistral's "Empire of the Sun"! Provence is a magical region of artists & artisans that comes alive during our week of activities and excursions that include a step back in time to Ancient Rome to explore the Roman ruins of Arles and participate in a culinary class, "Cuisine of Roman Provence", at our chef's private workshop and residence in ancient Arles. Modern Provence offers a local experience shopping at village open markets, as does wine, honey & cheese tasting with local artisans and growers throughout the program. And, no Provence stay is complete without a private visit with our pottery maker, a walk through the Luberon medieval villages, savoring gourmet cuisine daily and discovering the home towns of Cezanne and Van Gogh.
